Ape Labs Vega Battery-Powered Multipixel LED Floodlight

Next-Generation Multipixel Lighting

The Ape Labs Vega combines the versatility of a wide-angle LED floodlight with advanced multipixel effects, creating an entirely new range of possibilities for professional event lighting. Featuring 225 LEDs arranged into 25 individually controllable pixels, the Vega can illuminate walls, ceilings, and event spaces while also producing dynamic animations, patterns, and creative visual effects. Its RGBaW color mixing with dedicated 2700K AmberWhite technology delivers vibrant colors and natural-looking warm white illumination, while a wide 120-degree beam angle provides broad, even coverage. The included magnetic frost filter makes it easy to transform the visible pixel array into a smooth, diffused floodlight.

Built around the renowned Ape Labs wireless lighting ecosystem, the Vega combines intuitive control with sophisticated programming capabilities. MusikMode creates synchronized, music-responsive light shows with a single button press, while four-group control allows multiple fixtures to operate independently or together. Compatible with the ApeRemote and the Ape Labs Connect interface, Vega offers wireless remote control up to 200 feet and app-based control or wireless DMX up to 1 mile. With Connect, users can also access detailed pixel programming and configure letters, numbers, and character effects.

The Vega features a durable IP65-rated aluminum housing, silent fanless operation, and a replaceable 12V, 55Wh Ni-MH battery delivering approximately 12 hours of runtime at full power or up to 48 hours in power-save mode. Its compact housing and charging contacts match the Ape Labs Maxi 2+ system, allowing compatibility with existing Maxi 2+ TourBox charging and transportation solutions. Designed, engineered, and manufactured in Germany, the Vega offers premium construction, creative flexibility, and seamless integration with the Ape Labs ecosystem.

MusikMode: 1-Button Light Show

The renowned Ape Labs MusikMode stands unrivaled in the industry. With zero programming required, a single button press effortlessly synchronizes compatible Ape Labs products in the room, regardless of model, to collaborate and create a constantly evolving light show timed to the music. This isn't the typical sound-active mode you've seen before; it's a coordinated lighting experience that would require extensive programming to reproduce with a traditional DMX system.

Whether you're using a single Vega or combining multiple fixtures with other Ape Labs lighting products, MusikMode makes it easy to create exciting, synchronized visual effects. Position lights throughout a venue, around a stage, or behind a DJ booth and let the Ape Labs ecosystem coordinate the show automatically.

DMX-Like Control via Grouping

Not a fan of DMX? No problem. While Ape Labs fixtures support wireless DMX through Connect, many users prefer the intuitive iOS/Android app or ApeRemote. These control methods allow compatible lights, regardless of model, to be assigned to one of four groups. Change colors, adjust brightness, select programs, modify effect speed, or activate strobe effects without affecting fixtures in other groups. You can also control multiple groups simultaneously.

With the Ape Labs app, users can create and save scenes with different settings for each group, then recall the entire lighting arrangement with a single command. Advanced pixel programming and wireless DMX provide additional creative options for professional lighting designers. Ape Labs Connect is required for smartphone app control and wireless DMX and is sold separately.

Letters, Numbers & Character Effects

One of Vega's most exciting capabilities is its ability to display letters, numbers, and symbols using its 25-pixel LED array. Multiple Vega fixtures can be arranged together to create larger displays, opening creative possibilities for weddings, corporate events, stage productions, themed installations, and other special events.

Individual characters can be configured through the Ape Labs smartphone app, while the fixture's multipixel technology supports additional animated effects and patterns. The ApeRemote can control basic pixel effects, but advanced character programming requires Connect.

Letters, numbers, and character effects require Ape Labs Connect, sold separately.

Full Product Description

The Ape Labs Vega represents a new approach to portable event lighting by combining traditional LED floodlighting with sophisticated multipixel technology. Each fixture contains 225 LEDs arranged into 25 independently controllable pixels, allowing users to create colorful patterns, animated effects, and coordinated visual displays. Multiple fixtures can be positioned separately for synchronized room illumination or arranged together for larger pixel effects, making Vega an excellent solution for weddings, corporate events, live performances, architectural lighting, and custom installations.

Beyond its multipixel capabilities, Vega performs as a wide-angle LED floodlight. RGBaW color mixing with dedicated 2700K AmberWhite provides an extensive range of colors and natural-looking warm white illumination, while the 120-degree beam angle allows broad coverage across walls and event spaces. Its CRI 90 output provides accurate color reproduction, and the included magnetic frost filter quickly softens the visible LED pixels into a smooth, diffused wash.

Wireless control is central to the Vega experience. The fixture integrates with the Ape Labs ecosystem, allowing compatible lights to work together using MusikMode, four-group control, and automatic wireless signal repeating. The ApeRemote provides convenient operation of colors, brightness, programs, and music-responsive effects. For more advanced control, optional Ape Labs Connect unlocks smartphone app programming, custom scenes, wireless DMX, and additional multipixel functions. Four DMX operating modes, including 100-channel individual pixel control, provide flexibility for both simple event setups and complex lighting designs.

Vega also supports alphanumeric effects, allowing its pixels to display letters, numbers, and symbols. These functions can be configured through the Ape Labs smartphone app and provide creative possibilities for personalized events, stage designs, and decorative installations. Letters, numbers, and character effects require Ape Labs Connect, sold separately.

Engineered for professional event environments, Vega features an IP65-rated aluminum housing, fanless operation, a replaceable 12V, 55Wh Ni-MH battery, and approximately 12 hours of full-power operation. Power-save mode can extend runtime up to 48 hours by limiting maximum brightness. Its housing dimensions and charging contacts match the Maxi 2+ system, providing compatibility with existing charging and transportation solutions. Free firmware updates and compatibility with the wider Ape Labs ecosystem make Vega a versatile addition to professional lighting inventories.
